Meeting Minutes

The Castle Rock Township 2025 Annual Meeting  was held at 8:30pm on March 11, 2024 at the Castle Rock Town Hall. The meeting included the usual order of business to include, approval of the 2024 Annual Meeting Minutes, reading of the various township reports, and approval of the 2025 Budget. The township approved to increase the Levy from $349,734 to $385,000. Under New Business Agenda items, Motions were made and carried to have the BOS look into moving to two meetings a month for the BOS and PC(rather than the current 1 meeting a month), live/on-demand streaming of meetings,  possible changes on how voting is calculated in the future, communication with attorney being more transparent and possibly going through two board members rather than just one, and adding a rule in the ordnance to specifically address dumpsters in the right away. There were also discussions of possible conflict of interest with engineering firm due to NDA's, there was a motion to look for a new engineering firm, but it didn't pass. The board of canvass will meet on March 12th at 4pm or certify the election.  The meeting was adorned at 11:05 pm.

The Castle Rock Township Board of Supervisors meeting was held on April 8th, 2025. The meeting was called to order at 7PM. Five permits for events at the Fairgounds were approved. One Ag building permit was approved. The COALITION FOR RESPONSIBLE DATA CENTER DEVELOPMENT gave a presentation. There was discussion about road maintenance and grading of all township roads was approved. After grading is completed the roads will be evaluated for summer repairs. Tree and brush trimming along 232nd Street was discussed and tabled unit next month. The CapX power line permit was approved. There was a vote on holding two meetings a month - the motion did not pass. The board is still gathering information on live streaming and recording meetings. Drea Doffing was appointed to the Planning Commission. There was discussion about selling the property in Rocky Hills commonly know as Rock Hills Park. The board is gathering more information on this issue.  The board is reviewing the contract with Inspectron. A resolution was passed covering Data Requests.  The meeting was adjouned at approximatly 11PM.
