Meeting Minutes

The August 12th, 2025 meeting was called to order at 7PM. Two permits were approved for events at the Dakota County Fairgrounds. One Ag building permit was approved. A variance and construction permit was approved. An amendment to the Conditional Use Permit and a construction permit application was approved (pending the building inspectors approval) for the Al Maghfirah cemetery project. There was a presentation from the county on Safe Drinking Water and there is a program to help residents with testing and repair of their systems. Please go to:  www.dakotacounty.us and search "Safe Drinking Water Grant" for more information. This is a first come program so please apply right away if you are interested. Mike Slavik gave a presentation on road projects in the area. Gravel will be applied to 250th Street off of Hwy 3 and 240th Street off of  Co Rd 78. The board voted to provide address marker signs free to new residents with the residents responsible for the installation. If you need assistance with installation you can contact Otte Excavating for help, you will be responsible for the installation cost. Otte Excavating will now be performing the driveway permit inspections. On September 9th, 2025 at 5:30PM Couri and Ruppe Law will be providing a presentation on the process of becoming a city, all are invited to attend and listen in. Rocky Hills park was discussed and the board has recommended to have the residents vote on this issue at the annual meeting.  Work was started on approving the Policy manual for the township. The board is looking into estimates for weed control in the Townships right of way and should have more information at the September 9th meeting. There are no major updates on the lawsuit with Farmington, we are waiting on the judges decision from the most recent hearing. The board will be approving the Township levy at the September 9th, 2025 board meeting. The meeting was adjourned at approximately 11PM.
