There are five Township Supervisors elected to the Board.  A Town Board Supervisor is expected to:

  • Attend all regularly scheduled meetings of the Board;

  • Study agenda packets for Board meetings well in advance of the meetings so he/she will be prepared for discussions and votes;

  • Be familiar with Castle Rock's ordinances and Comprehensive Plan;

  • Cast carefully considered votes in the best interest of the Township as a whole;

  • Agree to abide by the decisions of the Board;

  • Attend Meetings of other groups to which he/she is assigned and to report to the Board on their meetings;

  • Examine and initial bills at each meeting of the month and question those which are not felt justified;

  • Keep the office staff informed on his/her whereabouts, and make themselves available when assistance is needed;

  • Respond to memos promptly and in writing;

  • Follow through with assignments accepted;

  • Keep abreast of any county, state, and federal requirements;

  • Deal patiently with residents who call about any problem they might have;

  • Remember that the seven Township Officers are a team that is entrusted with all matters that concern the Township and its residents.
